You could’ve counterpointed (I don’t think that can actually be used as a verb) his statements by saying that girls (or if you’re a girl, boys…) and motorcycles eventually are even more disappointing than politics (getting heartbroken or making stupid mistakes with girls and getting hit by a massive vehicle driven by an incompetent fool which results in your death on a motorcycle- as opposed to just having a constant general despair about the state of the world).
