To speed things up, they could ship you the new one immediately by charging you, subject to agreement that this charge will be cancelled when they receive your old one back. You will want to buy shipping insurance for the stated value. This arrangement would cut your wait for roundtrip shipping and repair. A separate question is whether or not there are endemic problems with your laptop model and what is best to cure them. Repair? Upgrade?
